ASGA and many individual growers worked closely with the Alaska Marine Advisory Program (MAP) on a two-year project designed to provide the industry with financial planning and business management tools. MAP aquaculture agent Ray Ralonde assembled a group of experts from the University of Alaska and a private CPA who deals with agricultural taxes to address farmers concerns. The project produced two workshops and a series of tools that aquatic farmers and applicants can use to manage and plan their businesses.
